KAWIRA NYAGA
COACH AND FACILITATOR
Having grown up in Kenya and now living in Switzerland, I've developed a knack for questioning assumptions and shifting perspectives on personal and professional challenges.
My coaching approach revolves around a developmental perspective on power intelligence, where I believe in the capabilities and intentions of individuals to manifest the desired version of themselves while navigating their interactions with the world. I draw inspiration from the E¹ME²RGE³ Model™ by the Global Coaching Institute (GCI), as well as the Diamond Leadership® Assessments and Programs and Council Guide Training
Areas of Focus
My passion for process facilitation began in 2013 when I hosted dialogues for a social change initiative in Nairobi, Kenya. Since then, I've facilitated teams and groups globally, exploring diverse professional contexts. I'm captivated by the potential and wisdom that groups possess when provided with a vessel and structure for self-expression. The methods I employ include Process Design, Design Thinking, Council Guide Training, Theory U, the Grundkraft Process, and other process-oriented approaches to facilitation.
Areas of Focus
The primary lens I use for my coaching and facilitation is a power lens. By applying it to assess dynamics within individuals, teams, and systems, I raise awareness about power's impact on relationships and group dynamics. This fosters a positive environment where inclusivity, belonging, safety, and motivation thrive, enabling people to channel their power towards intended goals, promote productivity, and cultivate better collaborations and relationships.
My studies at the Kaospilot School have laid the foundation of my practice as a coach, facilitator and social entrepreneur in VUCA times. By focusing on creative leadership, creative process design, business design and project design, I have expanded my abilities in working in cross cultural, inter-class, inter-disciplinary environments with teams and individuals.
Practicing the awareness that these ancient earth based teachings from Native American traditions bring, has deepened the reverence I hold towards the potential that lies in each human being and all of nature.
I am certified by The Global Coaching Institute (GCI) to work with the E¹ME²RGE³ Model™ and the GCI Coaching Roadmap™. I am also a certified coach at Diamond Leadership® where the focus of coaching is on helping leaders understand and improve how they use power to impact and influence others.
My ongoing training and exposure to this paradigm helps me to sit in the fire of social change and transformation. It provides me with a foundation to understand and facilitate group dynamics, conflicts, change and innovation processes.
